Like many of my design explorations, OPEN CUBES investigates the transformation of a three-dimensional shape through its shifting trajectories. Throughout this process, I experimented with how varying my perspective affected the perception of the shape and how the three boxes complemented one another. The idea came to me after a game of softball, where observing the ball and its direction is a crucial element of the game.
